Navigate EPIC’S Trails with Ease—coming soon!

This trail will soon be mapped on the AllTrails app for live navigation and step-by-step guidance on your mobile device. Once available, you'll be able to track your location and stay on the right path with real-time tracking.

  1. Download the AllTrails App:

  2. Check back soon! Once the trail is mapped, you’ll be able to search for Equestrian Partners in Conservation in the app to find it.

  3. Carry a Printed Map as a Backup: While waiting for the digital map, always use the printed map to navigate safely. The QR code for accessing the digital map in AllTrails will be available once the trail is live on the app. Scroll down to find printable maps.

    Tip: Ensure your phone’s GPS is enabled for future tracking when the trail is added to AllTrails.


About the trail

The Dry Seneca Trail begins behind Harkaway Stables on Partnership Road and follows the stream for 5 miles, crossing Sugarland Road and continuing along Montevideo Road to its southern end near Poole’s Store on Old River Road. The trail is marked with numbered signposts (1-42).

Overview

  • Open to the public (must stay on posted trails)

  • Gently rolling terrain with hills, stream crossings, and scenic views

  • Roundtrip ride (~3 hours) at a moderate pace

  • Connects to Seneca Creek State Park and Seneca Bluffs Trail (leading to the Potomac River and C&O Canal)

Parking & Access

No designated trailhead parking

Limited trailer parking available:

  • Sugarland Road – 4-6 trailer spaces (2-3 on each side)

  • Montevideo Road – Larger parking area at Seneca Creek State Park (just south of Rocklands Farm one-lane bridge)

  • Recommended: Scout parking areas by car before bringing a trailer
