Join EPIC for a Trail Ride at Gettysburg National Military Park—Saturday, May 4, 2013
Join EPIC for an exciting guided trail ride through the Gettysburg National Military Park. See where the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the most crucial battles of the Civil War, was fought while you enjoy the beautiful bridle trails throughout the park (pdf).
EPIC has arranged for a local guide to lead our group through the park and its riding trails, highlighting points of interest and historical facts.
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2013
Ride Time: 11:30 a.m.
Location: Artillery Ridge Campground
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
Level: Slow (walk)
Cost: $40 (includes guide and post-ride refreshments)
Other: Portable toilets available. Water for horses is available, but you will have to carry it in a bucket across a large parking area, so we suggest bringing your own. All riders MUST wear ASTM/SEI-certified safety helmets. Proof of a current negative Coggins test for each horse is required.
